hello,

Does anyone have any experience with using the kindle application for the pc with jaws and or on the iPhone 4s? I am about to start my final year for a Computer science degree and have seen a programming book on kindle book store. I want to know how accessible it is? If the kindle app itself is not accessible, is it possible to buy the book from amazon and convert to a suitable readable format such as HTML or PDF?

the app is not accessible on IOS, and I'm pretty sure it's not on the PC as well, although I've never tried it. You also cannot convert books using amazon. I have put amazon books in my mind as a lost cause. I reccomend bookshare.

I'm reading my first book with the Accessible Kindle PC ap. It works ok but what a pain in the butt way to read a book. Is there really so little text on a printed page? Sheeesh.
Is there any way to make it read continuously without having to hit the right arrow and then control r every few sentences? I'll try full screen mode to see if that works. I just thought of that as I was rereading this post.
Ok, so now that I've complained, I will say that I'm excited to have access to Kindle books now. I realize this has been around for a while but between bookshare, BARD, and Audible, I hadn't needed to use it. I came across a book last night that I want to read and the Kindle price of $9.95 sure beat the heck out of the over $100 price for the printed copy. lol
